Rain, Sun and Fashion - Spring has Arrived

May - Spring Flowers - New Beginnings

"A life without rain is like sun without shade." After the Rain by Karen White

Spring is here with gentle breezes, rainy skies, sun peaking through and flowers in the birth of bloom.  It is indeed a wonderful and delightful time of year.  Fresh, new and thoroughly uplifting.  Are you ready for change?  There will always be "moments" in life when friendships falter and people depart from this planet to a new plane.  As I write this piece, my mother has passed away.  There are a myriad of emotions that I am dealing with at this point. My brothers have been called, my friends have been told and I am beginning to deal with future change.  First, I must live in the present and go through the grief and will indeed find the sun at the end.  My mother had a challenging life and was difficult though at times charming to all.  I have been a caretaker for decades in more ways than one.  Yet, her strength, her beauty, her wit, her intelligence will always be cherished for she imparted so much good on myself and brothers.  Yes, there was pain too because of her issues but the positive is what I will focus on.

What does this have to do with rain gear, rain and flowers?   Why everything.  Change is powerful and ever present.  The earth is constantly rotating and positive energy is always present if you seek it out.  People can change if they do the work and are not hampered with negativity or chemical brain issues.  Even challenging behavioral issues can be dampened.  Yet, one must dig deep and be willing to look inside.  The process is difficult but can be done with the help of professionals and friends.  And, the words "I am sorry" are the key to the start of internal change.  Enough said.  My mother is an example of someone who did what she could with what was given and was guided by professionals, family and friends.  She created a good life for herself.   She will be missed.

Spring has sprung.  All we need are a few bright and cheery pieces to match the blooms of the flowers adding an extra bounce to our steps when the sun brightens the earth.  It is a new day, a new life and I am feeling good.

And I'm

Feeling Good - Michael Buble

Birds flying high you know how I feel

Sun in the sky you know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by you know how I feel

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good
I'm feeling good

Fish in the sea you know how I feel
River running free you know how I feel
Blossom on the tree you know how I feel

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me
For me

Stars when you shine
You know how I feel
Scent of...

Winter is over and spring is here.  Make it the best you can by using your gifts and being grateful.  Everyday is indeed a blessing.  So, take it in and be thankful.   Pray for those in need, for those who have passed and be a beacon of light for those around you.   Add color to your wardrobe to not only brighten your day but to inspire others.  You are amazing.  Say it over and over again.  Believe it.  Anything is possible.

Rest in peace Mom!

May the sun shine on you and the new world make you whole.   Enjoy being with your brothers and sisters.  Today and forever is indeed a new dawn, a new day, a new life for you.

Love,

Kim
