Finest Quality Hand Down For Generations To Come!
"Clothes should be cherished, re-worn and even passed on to the next generation, Anna Wintour, the influential editor of Vogue magazine said, calling for more sustainability in the fashion world and less of a throwaway culture."

Anna Wintour, Editor in Chief, Vogue Magazine, recently wrote an article about purchasing only quality apparel.  I am in complete agreement and Forever Chic Style has always adhered to this mantra.  A friend of mine who has a beautiful and fashionable everyday wardrobe of jeans, throws, boots, handbags stated, "We need to be thoughtful about buying clothing."  I agreed with her.   Will you wear the piece a lot?  Or will it sit in your closet for days or even years?   Think of Duchess Kate who adorns herself in the same dress or coat over and over again.  In other words, you need to cherish your clothing, wear it often and walk with elegance and pride.  Be thoughtful.  Be mindful.  And, think …

Leopard Print Everywhere

Can You Hear Me Roar?

"People who wear leopard told me they feel beautiful, they feel strong, they feel powerful, they feel sexy" Emilie Regnier, photographer

Faux leopard print fashion has become a classic wardrobe staple which evokes old-money femininity bolstered by signalling confidence.  After all, leopards in the wild are formidable cats who are independent, adaptable and beautiful.  Aren't we too?  Thus, the obsession with this big cat print. Think Diane von Furstenberg's infamous leopard infused wrap dresses or Jackie Kennedy in the Oleg Cassini faux fur coat that made the print a household staple.  Even, Michelle Obama, loved the leopard print in sweaters for giving speeches.  The extra zing from the print sends messages of strength, pride and beauty.
It is so important to give oneself a self-confidence boost everyday.  Wearing a pretty print with earrings, jewelry, boots or anything that adds to your daily story adds extra magic.  Life is meant to be live…

Puffy Coats for Winter Warmth

Holidays, Winter, Storms are Here Bundle Up Precious!

The winter chill has once again swept the land except for a few sun and heat blessed spots.  We are pulling out our favorite puffy coats to guard against the frigid temperatures.  I have quite a few favorites that are worn throughout the season for different occasions.  My ultimate favorite, Burberry, was purchased around ten years ago and still is my go too coat.   The warmth and fit is ideal and flattering. The investment was well worth it.  My other beloved coats are worn too depending on the weather and what I am doing.  All and all, they are a must.

What made me think of the puffy coat was not just because of the cold. No, I wasn't imaging a puffer fish either since some silhouettes are just too outlandishly big. When, I envision a puffer coat,  I prefer a more fitted look that flatters.   Rather recently, I learned about "memory quilts" from a chic lit novel called Pieces of the Heart by Karen White.  In the st…
