  Spring is Coming "Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you." - Mary Lou Retton February, a new month of hope, love and joy is upon us.  Time is flying by and hopefully you are enjoying the changes in the air.  We can feel spring is fast approaching.  With the sun shining, daffodils coming forth, all signaling fresh opportunities. We just need to "see" the doors open and take the road less traveled.  It is easy to get caught up in a negative whirlwind or listen to those living in fear.  Instead, seek out positive energy.  The best way to start is to be a leader in sharing a positive vibe.     Think of successful people who no matter what happens find the exceptional in any event.  For instance, my tennis team lost all three courts last Friday.  We could have been angry, stomped off and headed straight home blaming ourselves for the shots that were missed.  Inst...

Inauguration Day 2021

  New Day, New Dawn, A New Life Today is a new day.  A new beginning.  A fresh start.  We stand as a country that has seen immense tragedy over COVID-19 and other horrific affairs that have left profound scars.  We pray for those that have lost loved ones from the virus, those in pain, and those who have lost their livelihoods.  Though the well of sadness has been deep, we continue to carry on.  We remain strong, resilient, proud and above all else - American.  Now is the time to come together.  A time to bring forth unity.  A time to love.  A time to heal.  It is easy to hate, to speak ill of others, to laugh, to make fun of, to criticize, to pontificate, to be righteous, to destroy and the list goes on.  It is easy to say what we do not like, who we do not like, and yet it is much harder to embrace and move forward with grace.  It is harder to like, love, and yes harder to forgive.  We must in order to evolve ...

Inspiration - A Weekly Lift

  The Bridge Thanksgiving is this week.  Celebrations might be different this year with a smaller group, yet spreading goodwill remains constant.   Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pie and all the fixings will be set out on the table with a simple reminder.  We are thankful to live in this country.  We are thankful for our family and friends.  We are thankful for our existence.  We are thankful for our homes.   There is so much to be thankful in 2020.  Yes, there is.  Is it a tumultuous year?  Yes, absolutely one of extreme lifestyle change, tragedy for many and a shift for all to think about what is important in your own life.   What is important to you?  Is it being connected? Is it nature? Is it helping others or sharing yourself when needed?   I think this year is one of growth, challenge, perseverance, acceptance, and change.  We are crossing a bridge this season.  A bridge of hope...
