85th Oscars 2013, Forever Chic Style Overview

          The 85th Academy Awards held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 began with a fanfare of excitement as the ladies and gents strolled down the red carpet under the sunny California sky. Form fitting strapless gowns sparkled with waves of Veronica Lake hair and subtle jewelry saluting yesteryear screen sirens. Photographic images of Old Hollywood fashionistas graced the runway – perhaps Rita, Audrey, Ava, Lana and Veronica.     The A-Lister's column fitted gowns were in hues of metallic glitter, a whipped frosting palette, Audrey blacks,  breathtaking blues and several Valentino reds.   Let's not even mention thespians or reality television starlets draped in minimal cloth showing off bosoms perhaps in a vain effort to be twenty again.  These topless few need to learn a lesson from Jane Fonda bedecked in a silhouette defining Atelier Versace bright yellow frock that captured the attention of paparazzi and fans everywhere.   Others donned Marie Antoinette grandiose gowns
