Jeans & Denim - Sun Valley Style

The Casual Active Life Last week was spent in stunning and breathtaking Sun Valley, Idaho with several girlfriends. Each day was packed with walking, hiking, biking, swimming and exploring the towns of Halley, Ketchum and Sun Valley.  A couple of the friends hiked Mt. Baldy while myself and another took the Gondola. The view was spectacular and lunch at the Roundhouse was the ultimate way to end the excursion.   Sun Valley is a place that is laid back and understated in apparel and actions.   In fact, upon arriving and visiting the local grocery store, a famous celebrity from Freaky Friday (2003)  literally strolled past us sporting dark sunglasses on a mission to abscond with a food item or two. She even dropped some crackers but we all gracefully let her be herself. Ironically, I had just seen this movie two weeks ago for the millionth time and to see her up close and personal in the store and again immediately after in a photograph at the Sun Valley Lodge with her

Summertime - Time Out  The Harried Life August is the final gasp of summer fun.  Many run from one activity to another and perhaps never really enjoy the moment or beauty that summer parades upon the land. We live in a time when social media exposes a charmed world of perfection though most likely not the real narrative.  Of course, highlighting places to hike, to swim, showcasing family get together's or presenting the latest and greatest is always appreciated. The idea of just relaxing with a good book for hours is far from people's minds.   Instead "running" from here to there is paramount in a harried fashion which in itself has become a sport to be documented on social media. What has become of "doing nothing" for a spell? The art of less and not documenting is indeed rare.  Are you missing out?  Did you ever think you were missing out on something fabulous before the advent of the "here I am" in public photos?
