Imaginative, creative, zany, brightly lit in bursts of color, witty, entertaining and basically a sheer roller coaster ride with an lengthy list of A-list of actors.  Fans of Wes Anderson films such as Moonrise Kingdom, The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox will not be disappointed by The Grand Budapest Hotel.   It is Anderson's first action picture, with high-speed James Bond races, madcap Charlie Chaplin scenes, prison escapades along with a quirky screenplay and a crazy cast of characters.

The saga begins with Mr. Moustafa, (F. Murray Abraham) as the current hotel owner recounting his life story to Young Writer (Jude Law) in the ancient dining room of the legendary European hotel.  The adventures span three periods 1985, 1965 and 1932 with the primary emphasis on the 1930's.  Gustave H., (Ralph Fiennes) in the 30's is a famous concierge at the five star hotel dressed in the deepest shade of purple and Zero Moustafa, (Tony Revolori) is the lobby boy and trusted friend…

Heaven Is for Real is based on the #1 New York Times best-selling book of the same name Heaven is for Real (2010) by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent.  This true story is about Reverend Todd Burpo (Greg Kinnear) and his son, Colton's (Connor Corum) extraordinary recollection of his near death experience where he visits heaven, sees angels sing, meets Jesus and Burpo's grandfather Pop's.  The snippets of memory creates chaos, doubts, rejection and anger to the immediate family and friends yet evolves into something more for everyone in the community.  It is a story about faith, perceptions, beliefs and ultimately love.

The tale commences in Nebraska with Burpo and his wife, Sonja (Kelly Reilly) living a normal life that includes work, family life and singing in a church with a community of friends.  Friends and family connect every Sunday, listen to rousing upbeat sermons by Burpo, attend meet and greets and in the afternoon the community watches the adults play coed softball ra…

A prelude to Springs glory and for anyone who needs a cast or sling......

April's glorious Spring has arrived with beautiful skies and heart warming flowers yet in March the story was a tad different.  March eerily was similar to Maleficent (the 2014 trailer is grey and dismal as winter prevails for a 100 years) releasing in theatres on May 30, 2014, with the dark and cold of winter still looming magnificently in March.

In the wintry month of March, my girlfriends and I headed over Stevens Pass, Washington, in a snowstorm to end up in at our favorite spot in Lake Chelan, Washington.  We sat inside observing the beauty of the snow falling while reading, watching our favorite shows,  relaxing  and doing what women love best ... talk, talk and talk.  After a day or two, I was stir crazy and vowed to walk down to the road to see if we could get out of dodge and head into town.  I gingerly stepped through a foot of snow and upon approaching the icy road, I quickly changed …
