The Tree of Life (2011): Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Jessica Chastain

One man's, Jack, Penn, flashback on his life in the 1950's with a tough yet loving dad, Mr. O'Brien, Pitt. Depicts family life during simpler times - lay in the grass and dream, obey parents, play outside, learn to be a young man or young woman with specific roles. Many of the scenes were similar to generations growing up in 1960's and 1970's teaching youth to be tough and feminine. Mrs. O'Brien, Chastain, is perfection in the classic mother role - loving, kind, caretaker and homemaker.  Conversely, this spiritual movie contains Planet Earth images showing the connection between all living things.  Finally, the overall message is without love, without grace, there is only nature. Nature is oblivious to actions whereas grace knows the difference. Beautiful film - for people contemplating the meaning of existence and understanding that every action, every word has a consequence and an outcome.  Grace is what we need in today's chaotic world.   The Tree of Life - excellent film.  Brad Pitt, will win Best Actor for Leading Role in a dramatic film at the Oscars for The Tree of Life and Jessica Chastain will win Best Support Role for an actor in a dramatic film.  Mark my words.

MUST SEE:  Inspirational, moving, not typical film genre.  Excellent.

7 Ways to Become a Butterfly

Don't Crush the Butterfly!

"Despite everything, no one can dictate who you are to other people." - Prince

Butterfly's come in all shapes and sizes painted in dazzling and colorful hues.  The beauty and varied differences of the butterfly are astounding and beloved by the beholder.  There are approximately 20,000 species throughout the world dancing in the sun and air.   Yet, what does a butterfly mean to fashionistas? Well, for one all the people of the land can evolve into creative and wondrous butterflies.   It is through the journey of life that sometimes the environment, family, friends and peers willingly crush the beauty and charming essence of you  - the exotic butterfly.

Don't Destroy the Wings of Flight
There will always be the vengeful, the user, the hateful or a person filled with jealousy and envy that clips the wings of the butterfly.  Their insecurities reign supreme and a beautiful butterfly ready to spread its wings can sometimes be stunned with …

Monday's Favorite Things - Sunglasses

What I Love This Week - Ray-Ban Sunglasses

My well-loved polarized Ray-Bans are scratched from constant wearing and setting them down.  Apparently, I should have put them in their case more than I did.  One day while driving, I noticed that the scratches on the lens were bothering me.  Upon a recent trip to my favorite store, I spotted a new pair of shades.
I tried them on and the rest is history.   I love these retro sunglasses.  They fit perfectly and have the polarization that is a must.  Why?  A glass surface is horizontal, the light reflects horizontally.   With polarized sunglasses, the surface filters out the horizontal light waves and protects from harmful UV rays.
For example, wear a pair of sunglasses without polarization and investigate a river or lake.  You will not see the fish swimming clearly.  With polarized sunglasses you can see the fish with an eagle eye.  Thus, my fascination with wearing only polarized lenses.
By the way, I wear sunglasses year-round protecting from…

What I Love This Week - Perfume - Scents, seductive, fresh and oh so beautiful

Lancome's Le Vie est Belle Eau De Parfum (Life is Beautiful) is lovely and unforgettable.  Have you ever worn a perfume that receives lots of comments?  I personally love this scent.  And, yes others do comment.
The name of the perfume constantly reminds me that life is indeed beautiful.  Life is a gift.  It is to be cherished and and should be enjoyed.  Don't let Negative Nelly'sAngry Annie's or Righteous Rita's ruin your day. Avoid those that do not lift your spirits or make you smile.  Seek out laughter with others either online or in-person.
Spritz on your favorite perfume.  Put on something pretty and start the day with the knowledge that your life choices and decisions matter.  You are special.
Lancome's Le Vie est Belle Eau De Parfum  has floral notes of sambac, jasmine and Tunisian orange blossom. This perfume is for the woman who lives in the present and loves her life. …
