In the fashion industry, there is nothing more classic than a beautiful, fitted blazer which enhances a silhouette.  Combine with a turtleneck, blouse, matching pants, boots, or pumps for a centerstage moment.  Some of my favorite brands include L Agence and Veronica Beard.  Both of these brands have captured the form defining and chic vibe of a timeless blazer. 

Conversely, I have read that oversized blazers and extremely baggy pants are back in vogue. Check out the online tabloids and notice the thin celebrity models draped in oversized blazers with billowing pants and tennis shoes.  Though I must mention that Gigi Hadid recently, did sport a vibrant cobalt blue velvet pantsuit with pumps that was stunning. I thought the jacket was a bit on the longish side though she still rocked the look. Bottom line, many of the billowing ensembles are trends and will be here today and gone tomorrow.  In other words, wasteful or perhaps temporary purchases that do not flatter and will eventually be at kept at the back of one's closet.  Instead, select wisely, and chose a brand that is well constructed, and in quality fabrics that will last for years to come.
