Midweek Favorite Things - Pom Pom Hats

Baby It's Cold Outside

"Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience." Ralph Waldo Emerson

The damp, dreary, wet and snow filled days are upon us for the upcoming months.   The change in the air is palpable along with early darkness falling across the land.   2020 has indeed been the craziest year for everyone with the horror of Covid, lockdowns and a roller coaster election.   After a nail-biting, hair-pulling, stress filled election this week with no clear resolution, it is best to remain steady and calm.

Life is indeed a wild ride with ups and downs, twists and turns.  You would not want your life to be dull, would you?  This year, more than any other year, in my lifetime, 2020 is one of complete societal pandemonium.  If someone had told me on New Year's Eve, that everyone's life in 2020 would be completely turned upside down, we would have looked at them and thought they were off their rocker.  Or maybe had imbibed a little too much.  Of course, it was and is yet what do you do?  You thrive and keep on living with an open and heart and mind.

Alas, the choice is to remain upbeat, happy, and positive.  We are not in control.  So, why stress yourself out?  Instead, seek out friends and family.  Laugh, love, and breathe.  You will survive.  After all, life is short, and this year is hopefully only a mere blimp on the radar of our lives.

While you are contemplating your life, solving the world's problems, accepting the change in weather, and anticipating the holidays, remember to stock up on warm hats.  My favorite hat of the season is from Kyi Kyi. Yes, it is real fur.  Maybe I will have to get another one?   Why not?  Live a little as my mother used to say.

Winter is upon us.  Rain, wind, snow, hail and all the elements bombarding us daily.  Of course, it is always splendid when the sun comes out with blue skies and a northern wind. Right now, for me, the magnificent leaves of red, gold, orange and yellow are falling from our trees and layering the ground with extraordinary brilliance.  Reminds me that life is a gift.  Change is inevitable.  And every day is a treasure trove filled with the unknown.  Learning to just "go with it" is indeed a path to contentment. Get ready to move forward with grace, style, and extra warmth for your brilliant mind.  You are worth it!

"If you are awake, you are blessed. Life is a priceless gift, appreciate every minute of it."

Until Next Time,
Kim
