Everlane Combat Boots - Monday Favorite Things
Tis The Season to be Merry
The jolliest time of the year is upon us. Let the shopping and merriment commence. Of course, this HO HO HO holiday will be unlike seasons past and instead will include the necessary precautions. However, we can still enjoy the festivities with a new spin. Our plans will be the opposite of last year, yet the joy of giving will remain intact.
In a way, it reminds me of Cindy Lou Who from the story, cartoon, and movie, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (2000). All the Who's down in Whoville were merrily singing on Christmas Day without ribbons, packages, boxes, and tags. They were happy without the usual trappings of the holiday. The Who's knew the importance of the holiday does not come from a store. It comes from the heart. The Grinch's heart grew three times this day. The Grinch came down the mountain top and delivered the stolen gifts with a greater heart and an understanding of the importance of the holiday. Nothing would stop him from giving.
Thus, gift giving remains paramount in our crazy Alice in Wonderland environment. Giving does not mean bestowing only presents, rather it is the kindness we share daily. It is the smile, listening, connecting, and creating a beautiful scene for all to enjoy. For instance, in my neighborhood, everyone has decorated their houses like the house in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)! The scene is uplifting and the smiles are huge. Which brings me to my favorite thing for this Monday - Everlane Combat Boots.
Everlane is a terrific company with quality apparel, accessories, boots, and shoes. You will not be disappointed. Currently, these numbers are on sale and selling out. Be sure to follow the sizing guidelines. I ordered half size up and they fit beautifully. The brown is a deep chocolate brown, which is always difficult to obtain. These boots are comfortable right out of the box. You do not need to break them in.
There you have it. Get ready to spread gaiety this holiday. Do not wait for better days to come. Instead embrace the spirit of Christmas and grow your heart three times larger. We are blessed. Let us share exuberance to one and to all.
And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store."
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"
And what happened then? Well...in Whoville they say,
That the Grinch's small heart Grew three sizes that day!
And the minute his heart didn't feel quite so tight,
He whizzed with his load through the bright morning light,
And he brought back the toys! And the food for the feast!
And he, HE HIMSELF! The Grinch carved the roast beast!
Until Next Time,
