BASIC'S. I just finished an excellent book,
Plantation by Dorthea Benton Frank. In the book, one of the main characters, Lavina, shopped only twice a year and would buy one exquisite outfit per outing. The apparel chosen would last a lifetime. Rather interesting for us fashionistas who might have a hard time buying twice a year. I am not naming names but you know who you are!! It is something to ponder as the pocket book gets pretty tight after hitting the sale. However, for me the
Nordstrom Anniversary sale is an annual event with lots of apparel options to seek out. Additionally, I have heard through the grapevine that the catalog is no longer being mailed, which is unfortunate. I loved to peruse the photos, turn the pages, circle my favorites and then pursue the items online. Yet, as we know, the catalog and apparel is just a click away in today's savvy shopping world. Plus, more stock online though many hot items are already sold out and replenishment it not a guarantee. If you see something, order asap.
