Flirty Fun

"A piece of clothing should be like a work of art." Rosita Missoni

Inspiration and creativity are the cornerstone of any great endeavor or idea. I learned in my youth that they are several ways to achieve a goal. If you want the Bogner ski jumpsuit then you need to work.  There wasn't any other path to getting what I wanted.  So I worked during high school making money for what I desired and for college. And, felt fulfilled in achieving my goals. Additionally, many believe that if you always follow the path prescribed then you will achieve the outcome you desire.  For instance, if I get good grades, follow the education system for college dotting all the i's and t's as demanded along the way, I will be very successful.  Is this true?  For many yes, yet others who follow a slightly different path can become extraordinary. Take Bill Gates, who didn't finish college but followed his passion instead.  We all know the outcome. Those that think "out of the box" or "go around the rock in the road" usually find achievement or completion of a goal.   In other words, don't let someone tell you can't do something.  And, don't rely on someone else to make your dreams come true.  You are in charge.

What else makes a person feel satisfied? The actual art of learning something new or working on a project for hours combined with the ability to play well with others and to communicate succinctly.  The Wall Street Journal recently stated that communication in business is the number one priority.  The ability to write well plus speaking is required and expected.  Writing doesn't mean short texts. You also must also be willing to things that do not pertain to a job description.  Why?  You cannot create, become or achieve without starting at the bottom.  What is worthwhile takes grit, creativity and gumption to know that your dream, your goal takes hard work and one plus one often means one hundred.  In other words, seek out your creative mind, think broadly, think critically from all angles and walk with a purpose.  Remember creative achievement can be derived by what you deem worthy such as a career, a hobby, a mom etc. And, while you are at it - have a little fun with apparel.  After all it is the sunshine season and this is your life and your adventure.

Color is back in a big way this summery season.   A vivid hue brightens any day.  Aren't you ready to put away grey, blacks and browns?   So dull when the flowers are blooming, the sky is full blue, sun is shining and the world is in full blossom.  And, if it is raining where you live a little color goes along way to add glitter to your day.

The world is indeed your oyster.  You can be anything you want if you put your mind too it.  Sounds simple right? Of course, it isn't. After all, why do you want life to be easy?  Great feelings of accomplishment always come from your own efforts.  Hard work, persistence and imagination will put you on the road to success.  Don't wait to get started.  Put on your thinking cap, dream big and get to work.  And, while you are at your art desk of life add sparkle with a few color pieces, polka dots or anything that inspires you.  Life is an adventure.

Tee-Shirts - Rag & Bone

Ultimate Comfort "The tans will fade but the memories will last forever."  Town & Country Summer is coming.   You can feel it especially now with the sunshine filling the land in the Pacific Northwest.  The mornings are crisp with afternoons that are warm with a slight breeze.  The blue skies combined with the yellow daffodils, pink magnolia blossoms, flowers appearing, green trees, snow covered mountains and endless green growth is magnificent.  The eye is endless entertained, and the balm of the sun soothes the weary after months of rain, sleet, hail, snow and cold.  Soon we will be storing our cashmere sweaters and pulling out simple tee-shirts, shorts, bathing suits, hats and sunscreen. Overall, it is a happy time especially this year now more than ever.  We can finally breathe a sigh of relief.   While we are embracing the long awaited change, I have found the perfect tee-shirt for the Summer months to come. Rag & Bone is the answer once again. The quality of t

Red Bathing Suits

Lady in Red Elizabeth Taylor - Pixabay "When in doubt, wear red." Bill Blass Red is the color of passion, danger, anger and ultimately love.  It is a hue that stands out in a crowd, commands attention, and flatters the owner.  Think of fashionistas sporting a red dress in film or in the real world.  Heads turn, smiles happen, and the world stops for a moment.  Red is the color that truly makes an entrance.  Finding the correct red can be daunting.  If you have light, creamy skin with a pink cast, often a blue red is best.  If your skin is olive shade with a yellow undertone, then an orange red is your choice.  This handy chart by RITO designer knitwear can help identify your personal color of red.  Now the fun begins.  Once you have your color wheel done, you can then choose a delightful red hue from lipsticks, apparel and yes for a bathing suit.  The next mission is finding a red bathing suit, which often is difficult.  One would believe that a red bathing suit would be av

Rag & Bone Sweaters

Winter Sale Pixabay - No Attribution Required We live for sales these days!  Do we not?  Getting a deal on well made, designed clothing with a percent off. What more can we ask for? Currently, there are fantastic price decreases on one of my favorite brands, Rag and Bone.  During the winter months, and even in early Spring and Fall, there is nothing better than a warm cashmere sweater to drape yourself in against the chill.   Of course, I must recommend purchasing a sweater in a classic shape that is timeless rather than on trend.  Classic or Trendy?  Which brings up a good point?  There are always new trends for us to partake each season.  For instance, flared jeans are making a strong comeback.  Whereas skinny jeans remain front and foremost.  A skinny, cigarette or straight leg jean can be worn for years rather than with a flared hem. Another trend hitting the airwaves are loose trouser pants, which in my fashion opinion are reminiscent of pajamas.  If you are going to buy pants,

Jeans for Spring 2021

Vi br ant Hues Pixabay - No Attribution Required The sun is out, birds are singing, and Spring is here.  I spent the day in the yard cutting back plants, grasses, and ferns in preparation for the new, glorious, and riotous growth.   The bounty is always stunning with an array of colors.  Later in the Spring, I will fill my pots with hues that add to the d├ęcor of the backyard and deck.  Yes, Jeans Please? What does this have to do with jeans in rainbow tones?  Well, the world is filled with beauty.  You must look for it and when you do sigh with delight.  Recently, my favorite celebrity diva, Suzanne Somers, was wearing and rocking skinny orange jeans with black pumps on one of her weekly Facebook videos.  Which, of course, were stunning on her.  Orange jeans are the perfect signal that springtime has officially arrived.   Of course, she is in desert and it is a bit warmer.  However, our day in the heat, will soon be here in the Pacific Northwest.  Right now, is the moment, to pull o
