White Sneakers & More - Weekly Fashion Picks

My Fav's For

Friday, February 22, 2019

I believe it is time to wish for spring and summer after another snowy and bitterly cold week here in the Northwest.   Here are just a few items to uplift the spirit and think of end of winter.

Frye - White Leather Sneaker

My Treasure and Bond white sneakers bought two years ago are scuffed and showing a bit of wear.  I wear them everywhere and love them.   However, time to locate for another spiffy white sneaker.  I can only wear sneakers made out of leather as I am allergic to other materials.  Luckily, I found a leather sneaker that will be a great replacement.  Pair with jeans, shorts and evoke and image of Audrey Hepburn.  The impeccable weekend foot attire or for everyday during the warm months to come.

Lancome Perfume

If you want to be stopped every time you spritz on perfume - look no more.  On a whim several months ago, I purchased La Vie est Belle Eau de Parfum (Life is Beautiful). The scent is heavenly. Pulled from the Nordstrom site:  Floral notes of sambac, jasmine and Tunisian orange blossome are added in the form of sublime absolutes.  Free, happy and addictive.   There are over 1.3K reviewers on Nordstrom site that give this luxurious perfume 5 stars.  Heads will turn.

Hand Lotion

A superior hand lotion is a must during this time of year.  The endless cracking and dryness seems to wreak havoc on our beautiful hands. A must during this time of year.  Kiehl's fits the bill.

Kiehl's - The Ultimate Strength Hand Salve

That is it for now!  Have a wonderful weekend.

Inspiration - A Weekly Lift

Lakes of Beauty Build an Oasis of Love Many are sighing with relief.  Now is the time to unite and heal the country.  Be open, be present and accept what comes. Would it not be wonderful to unite a fractured society where hate and anger were and still are at an all-time high.  Is it not time to start accepting one another, to listen to one another, and to support one another? Rather than throw stones at those with opposite thoughts or opinions.  It has been interesting and sad to witness such vitriol, destruction, and chaos this past year and hence.  Perchance rhetoric going forward will be filled with kindness for their fellow man.  One can only pray for sunshine to fill souls.  Thus, we begin again.  For now, notice the beauty around us.   The fall and winter to come are filled with peaceful moments when walking on your favorite trail.  Beauty surrounds us if we look.  The leaves, the wildlife, the rain, the lakes, the peace the small moments. Or maybe in your daily activities, you

Midweek Favorite Things - Pom Pom Hats

Baby It's Cold Outside "Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience." Ralph Waldo Emerson The damp, dreary, wet and snow filled days are upon us for the upcoming months.   The change in the air is palpable along with early darkness falling across the land.   2020 has indeed been the craziest year for everyone with the horror of Covid, lockdowns and a roller coaster election.   After a nail-biting, hair-pulling, stress filled election this week with no clear resolution, it is best to remain steady and calm.   Life is indeed a wild ride with ups and downs, twists and turns.  You would not want your life to be dull, would you?  This year, more than any other year, in my lifetime, 2020 is one of complete societal pandemonium.  If someone had told me on New Year's Eve, that everyone's life in 2020 would be completely turned upside down, we would have looked at them and thought they were off their rocker.  Or maybe had imbibed a little too much.  Of course, it was

Monday's Favorite Things - Lip Stain

What I Love This Monday? YSL - Tattoo Lip Stain The end of October is finally here with Halloween as the finale to this month.  Hopefully, everyone is having a wonderful season filled with pumpkins, beauty outside, fireplaces going, warm clothes and so much more.  Halloween will be different this year, but we can still celebrate in our own unique way.  Lately, I have been thinking about lipstick and how I love to wear color daily.  Masks have prevented us to see our beautiful smiles though the eyes do give you away when you grin with enthusiasm.   Thus, lipstick may not be something you are wearing.  What if you love to wear lipstick?  In thinking about masks and lipsticks, we need a solution that does not stain.  I have found that YSL has a terrific lip stain that lasts and does not rub off onto your mask.  As you all know, regular lipstick rubs off and suddenly you are dealing with a mess.   I like to drive without a mask and then put it on when going into public arenas.  I need a
