Here are several items that have sparked my interest for the glorious week of February 15, 2019.  Hopefully, you all had a wonderful Valentines Day with loved ones.  With the arctic weather freezing the country we do need a pick me up until sunshine and heat become the spring norm.    Thus, I think it is time to reward ourselves.   Don't forget you are your own best friend. Thus splurge, smile and shop.

7 Ways to Become a Butterfly

Don't Crush the Butterfly!

"Despite everything, no one can dictate who you are to other people." - Prince

Butterfly's come in all shapes and sizes painted in dazzling and colorful hues.  The beauty and varied differences of the butterfly are astounding and beloved by the beholder.  There are approximately 20,000 species throughout the world dancing in the sun and air.   Yet, what does a butterfly mean to fashionistas? Don't Destroy the Wings of Flight
There will always be the vengeful, the user, the hateful or a person filled with jealousy and envy that clips the wings of the butterfly.  Their insecurities reign supreme and a beautiful butterfly ready to spread its wings can sometimes be stunned with …

Monday's Favorite Things - Sunglasses

What I Love This Week - Ray-Ban Sunglasses

My well-loved polarized Ray-Bans are scratched from constant wearing and setting them down.  Apparently, I should have put them in their case more than I did.  One day while driving, I noticed that the scratches on the lens were bothering me.  Upon a recent trip to my favorite store, I spotted a new pair of shades.
I tried them on and the rest is history.   I love these retro sunglasses.  They fit perfectly and have the polarization that is a must.  Why?  A glass surface is horizontal, the light reflects horizontally.   With polarized sunglasses, the surface filters out the horizontal light waves and protects from harmful UV rays.
For example, wear a pair of sunglasses without polarization and investigate a river or lake.  You will not see the fish swimming clearly.  With polarized sunglasses you can see the fish with an eagle eye.  Thus, my fascination with wearing only polarized lenses.
By the way, I wear sunglasses year-round protecting from…

Audrey Hepburn - Women Who Inspire

"Pick the day. Enjoy it- to the hilt.  The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future."

"To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow." The ShiftIn our current upside-down apple pie world, many are struggling with the overload of information on the virus or election. The airwaves, print, social media, or any form of communication is constantly swirling at a high voltage.  The never-ending fables, unrest, destruction, statistics, changes our way of life and follows the path of what I call - The Shift.  A shift that we have no control over but can deal with as gracefully as possible. The Shift where everything we did for pleasure, work or play is on temporary hold or gone forever.  These shifts have happened throughout history.  Be patient. Be kind. It will pass and resolve. The chaos for some may lead to anger, …
