It is the small things after all that inspire, add self confidence, lift spirits high and bring joy during the burst of Spring. With the weather being topsy-turvy ranging from cold to wet to warm and then repeat, one is often stuck between winter apparel and spring summer garb. Along with using the same ole makeup day in and day out. Of course, these issues are minor and silly compared to the ordinary stresses of daily life.
Thus, it is essential to spice up ones routine with a few makeup choices to add brightness and lasting power for the glorious day. I have chosen several of my favorites for Spring 2018 and beyond. As a fan of makeup, I am always trying new items that work well on sensitive skin. Lately, I have been reading about choosing products with less chemicals and ingredients. Did you know that all these chemicals we swath onto our bodies or faces are quickly absorbed into our system? The result can be an instant irritant and red rash as well as wreck havoc on our bodies. I recall when I was younger before thirty, I had no skin issues. I used Noxema, white hazel and that was all. In my mature years, I have branched out to lavish moisturizers, creams, sunscreens and have again found myself sitting in a dermatologist office wondering why? The fountain of youth is so hard to obtain and we have been conditioned too drench ourselves in the latest and greatest youth enhancer. All with the goal of remaining youthful forever. Of course, often the most beautiful and attractive in a room are those with the lines of life. Yet we obsess.
Of course, the answer to my skin problems are easy to understand. I use too many things on my skin and I am allergic and sensitive to heat from extensive testing. Maybe the hormonal change places into the skin reactions as well. Perhaps going back to "less is the best" when it comes to make up and skin care. Yet, I still love makeup and skincare and will continue using both with the word "caution". After all, if something makes you feel better, and look better on any given day then just do it. Even a filler eliminating a furrow or frown line adds self confidence. It is the small things in life that makes one self confident. So, stand tall, sit up straight and embrace these top makeup favorites for Spring 2018.

The Best Lipstick: Yves Saint Laurent! - My girlfriend was turned onto this lipstick by a friend whose lips had remained perfect all day. We both bought the matte lip and what a difference. First notice the applicator which provides the capability of outlining the lips and creating the perfect cupid bow. More importantly, the lip stain does not come off on glasses and doesn't need to be reapplied. A definite must!
