Every fall the leaves begin to scatter, the flowers slowly fade, the days shorten and apparel selections begin to change. What remains is the glorious anticipation of football, holidays, rain, wind and snow that fills the minds and hearts of many. Each season brings something fresh, new and extraordinarily beautiful. Even when there are challenges with aging parents, children going off to school, work, drama or listening and reading about a soap opera election or just dealing with daily life there is always positive energy at the forefront. Along the path of season renewal is the thrill of donning something new like jeans, turtlenecks, skirts, camel coats, trench coats and boots to all affairs.
The cornerstone of Forever Chic Style is building a wardrobe with the goal of being a modern classic woman. And who embodies the eternal and modern classic more than any other woman is - the ageless Audrey Hepburn. Hepburn was an actress, humanitarian and overall a magnificent person who overcame hardship and created a fashion persona that even today is copied over and over again. Her style was classic, simple and all about quality apparel first and foremost. The Little Black Dress, the black pant, the turtleneck, the skirt, the two piece suit, the white blouse, the loafer were the framework of her wardrobe. All other were trends like frosting and sprinkles on the cake. She knew that less was more. Nothing like today's standards of over the top crass behavior combined with showy fashion that detracts instead of flatters. Hepburn had style, true grace and elegance that is so achievable today. Do not give up on being a woman, embrace the differences, strive to be a better person, to live a strong life and enjoy being a woman. The world is filled with beauty and yes - we women are beautiful. Support one another along the way with love and not jealousy. And, now for the fashion.
It is so easy to become obsessed with a new trend. Don't do it. Yes, I have but always take the item back. Keep life simple when the world is chaos - always choose simplicity in actions, thoughts and wardrobe. Easy!

There are many other classic pieces to entwine with a modern Forever Chic Style wardrobe. For instance, a rope of creamy white pearls either faux or real add elegance to any outfit. A few sparkling rings again either costume or real add a bit of glitter when talking with friends. More importantly, how a person conducts themselves each day creates real Forever Chic Style. Apparel is only the icing and everything else comes from within. It is so important especially in today's arena to be graceful, kind and loving even when others disagree or do not live the same life you do. The journey varies for all and a person willing to accept, to understand and to be open will be content. Additionally, a closet full of clothes that are never worn is wasteful and does not bring happiness. Thus, pare down the wardrobe, speak well and be eternally grateful for family, friends, the outdoors and pray for those in need. Audrey Hepburn did this and so can you. We all have the capacity to be real, to be honest, to be brave, to be courageous and to dress with impeccable style - Forever Chic Style!
