Summer sunshine, sandy beaches, chaise lounge chairs, glittering pools and refreshing drinks come to mind during the opening days of summer fun. When searching for the "perfect" swimsuit, eyes glaze over, anticipation in fitting rooms becomes frantic and the stress meter runs high. Frankly finding a swimsuit that is flattering on skin that has been kept from the sun for months is a chore that can be nerve wracking. However, after coming home from a sun filled Mexican vacation, there is only one style that fits all body types. The one piece swimsuit hands down is the most flattering. And, while viewing the finale of the series (Mad Men, AMC), there is something so refreshingly charming and sexy about choosing the most figure enhancing silhouette from the 1950's and '60's. And, which brand reigns supreme for this fashionista? Drum roll please - La Blanca!

Or course, swimwear selection is filled with many different styles that can be flattering on the female body. There are bikinis, one-pieces with sweetheart lines or ruched bandeau one-pieces, high waist bottoms or the tankini. As stated the women creating the most ocean waves were adorned in one piece bathing suits. Yes, bikini's can be attractive but thinness and a toned physic is imperative. The bikinis or barely there pieces of fabric were best on the youth though the plethora of tattooed limbs detracted rather than added beauty. Thus, for the 40 something Forever Chic Style fashionista the only silhouettes to purchase are The One-Piece and sister of the bikini - The Two-Piece Tankini!
