OSCAR WEEKEND

Fashion, Movie Stars, Winners and an Hilarious Host!

LIGHTS, CAMERA & ACTION

The Oscar race at the 86th Academy Awards affair is a tough gamble this year!  With amazing films and incredible actors the night is bound to be one for the ages!    In the Best Actor category, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mathew McConaughy are the favorites.  DiCaprio has been nominated 5 times and it is my bet he will take home the gold.  Why?  Well, he was phenomenal as Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street and the movie is unforgettable.   McConaughy is a close second for his portrayal of Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club.   The tally will be very close.  For Best Actress - Cate Blanchett is the clear leader for her role in Blue Jasmine and will win.  For Best Supporting Actress - Jennifer Lawrence was riveting in American Hustle.  For Best Supporting Actor- Jared Leto - Dallas Buyers Club.  Best Movie - The nod will go to 12 Years a Slave.  Best Director goes to Alfonso Cuaron for Gravity.
